The 1.5 mile Fun Run/Walk takes place on the charming streets of Regent Square. Course streets are closed to traffic and open to walkers beginning at 8:00 AM. Race starts at 8:15 a.m. The 1.5 mile starts and ends at the Environmental Charter School on the corner of Henrietta and Milton. Please see the map for an outlined route. |

The first 3/4 mile of the 5K runs through Regent Square streets with plenty of warm, friendly cheers; the second 2 1/2 miles are through Frick Park cross-country trails. The finish line heads down Falls Ravine Trail and finishes at the 3-mile mark (approximately). Race start time is 9:00 a.m. Please see the map for an outlined route. |

Prizes will be presented to the top 3 male and female participants. Gift Certificates to the top age group winners. Award Ceremony will begin about 10:00 am.

Thursday August 26 and 27th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturday August 28th from 7:00 am until 15 minutes before the start of the race. This year we are using disposable chips. You will receive your chip, bib, and packet at the same time. If you lose your chip before the start of the race and want to replace it, the replacement fee is $10.00 chip . Saturday morning packet pick up will start at 7:00 am and end 15 minutes before the start of each race. Runners must have a chip to be timed. |

Every Child and teen participating in the “On Your Mark with Highmark Youth Challenge” is a winner! This popular fitness program encourages children to take part in a community footraces...by either running or walking the 5K distance. And each child age 6 to 12* who completes one community footrace—or each youth 13 to 18* who completes two community footraces—receive free registration to The Great Race courtesy of the Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shields. After completing The Great Race ( 5 K or 10K division), each youth receives a personalized certificate recognizing the achievement.
