Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and female participants. Gift Certificates will be awarded to the top 3 females and males overall and the top male and female Regent Square residents. The Award Ceremony will begin about 10:00 am.
Boys and Girls Age Groups
The first 3 boys and girls in each category will receive an award, unless otherwise noted.
Age Groups: 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, and 4-2.
Special Awards

70 and over, 65-69, 60-64, 55-59, 50-54, 45-49, 40-44, 35-39, 30-34, 25-29, 20-24,15-19, 9-14, 8 and under
Participants can pick their race packets and chips at the Wilkins School Community Center located on Charleston Avenue in Regent Square on Thursday, August 25 and Friday, August 26 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on race day morning from 7 a.m. until 15 minutes before the start of the race.
Chips, bibs, and packets will be distributed at the same time. The race uses disposable chips. If a participant loses a chip before the start of the race and wants to replace it, the fee is $10.00 per chip. Participants must have a chip to be timed.
Every child and teen participating in the On Your Mark with Highmark Youth Challenge is a winner!
This popular fitness program encourages children to take part in community footraces by either running or walking the 5K distance. Each child age 6 to 12* who completes one community footrace—or each youth 13 to 18* who completes two community footraces—receives free registration to The Great Race courtesy of Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Since this is not a competitive activity, everyone is a victor for simply taking on the challenge.

This year the 5K will be capped at 1,500 participants and limited to online registration only. As of Tuesday, August 23rd, the number of registrants has reached 1,500 and registration for the 5K is now closed. The cost for the 5K is $22. NO DOGS OR STROLLERS ARE PERMITTED IN THE 5K.
